We had some happy people at my house when Team Canada won the US/Canada hockey game for a gold medal.  We are also super happy for Brenden Morrow since he plays for the Dallas Stars.  Kasen and Brad wore their hockey jerseys for good luck - it worked!  Kasen was so thrilled with her jersey that she wore it to school on Monday.  She made sure to tell her teachers and anyone walking by that she had on her Canada hockey jersey.  She did look super cute.  I took some pics of her after the game and she was totally working it - love that girl.

Kasen is finally feeling better, but still has a bad cough.  Holden is really sick now, super congested and stuffy nose, bad cough and just all around miserable.  Wouldn’t you know it, I’m finally feeling better and now our two kids are sick.  Now if I can keep from getting it again after Holden hacking in my face for days, I’ll be lucky.

I know, it's pathetic.  I had NO idea who was playing in the Superbowl today.  I guess that's what you get when you only have your TV tuned to Noggin 24/7.  I'm completely lost to the outside world.  I rely on others to tell me what the important news and sports events are of the day . . . ok, who am I kidding, of the week, or even month.  Even when I get a chance to listen to the news in the car, I have a three year old screaming from the back seat demanding we listen to HER CD.  And even when said three year old is not in the car, I find myself singing at the top of my lungs to Laurie Berkner's "Going on a Hunt" or "Fly Me  To The Moon" only to realize that I don't HAVE to listen to that when I'm by myself. LOL  And by then, I've already reached my destination, so there's no chance to find out what the latest headline news may be anyway.  *sigh*  I'll be more informed when she leaves for college - I just know it!

So, in the honor of Superbowl Sunday and now that I realize it's the Steelers vs. Cardinals, enjoy a great game of football today! :D  Annnnd, since I'm finally aware of the teams playing, I guess I should figure out who to root for before we head out for the Superbowl Party we're attending! LOL  For now, I'll just say, "GoooOOOOOOO TEAM!"

Here's our Superbowl Star - really, what's better than playing football in your party dress?!  Like Brad always says, "She's just a walking (or in this case, running) contradiction." LOL

It is Tuesday right?! LOL  Really, I rarely know what day it is anymore, but I think I'll get this posted before Wednesday hits if I'm lucky.

It's really fun to go back and look at some of the photographs/snapshots that we've taken and to see just how much our little pumpkin has grown.  Wow, she really had some cheeks. LOL  This was taken on January 5, 2006.  I love that you can see her two little teeth on the bottom poking through her gums.  And she's just the cutest, chubbiest little baby that could definitely light up a room.

Here she is - almost exactly two years ago - and five days away from being five months old ~

Kasen has her Canada gear on because it was The 2006 Junior World Championship Gold Medal Game between Russia and Canada.  I'm happy to say that Canada beat Russia.  Woohoo!!!  I'm not exactly sure of the final score, but I *think* it was 5-0.
