Yep, Kasen is quarantined through Friday evening. She has that dreaded flu - the H1N1. It all started on Friday, and by Sunday evening, she seemed to be kicking it. We thought it was just some kind of stomach bug. Then Monday morning, it all hit!! It was bad. I’ve never seen Kasen so sick before.
I called her pediatrician, gave the nurse all the symptoms and she said to bring her in right away. We dropped off Holden at Mae Mae and Papa’s house - he’s still there by the way. We thought it was best to keep him away from Kasen since he’s so little. The doctor said that he was too young for any medication, so keeping his distance is the best thing right now. Even though I miss him terribly, I know it’s for the best.
Well, after several doses of Tamiflu, Kasen was back to scootering around the house. Literally, scootering! LOL She has a Disney Princess scooter that has rubber wheels and she has been motoring around the house at record speeds. Today was her first full day of feeling a LOT better. It was obvious to me because she was getting into EVERYTHING - that means our “Kasen normal” is emerging once again. ;) I caught her on our bed today standing on a stool trying to turn the ceiling fan off. YIKES!! It really was a lot easier when she felt bad. LOL Even though she’s slowly getting better; she did have a rough night coughing last night, but she is oh so much better, thank goodness.
Kasen and I went out in the backyard today for a brief play. And it was brief alright, it was like a sauna out there. After about ten minutes, Kasen said she was soaked. haha I much prefer the rainy, cool, cloudy days. I’m starting to think I should be living in Seattle! Anyway, I wish you could see the difference in her between Monday and today. I almost took a picture on Monday of her, but I was too busy cuddling my sick pumpkin. Sooo, you’ll have to take my word for it that she looks a thousand times better today. Our sweet, gorgeous girl is on the mend!! Yahooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!

See ya’ later!!
